Red Cross Rest Stop

Rest Stop (Tukipysakki) is a pilot project organized by the Northern and Central Helsinki branch in Collaboration with the University of Helsinki. The project aims to provide low-threshold support services where students can stop by and have a conversation with Red Cross volunteers who have been trained in basic emotional support.

Volunteers who commit to the activity are required to have completed our basic course of psychosocial support, or otherwise acquired similar information.

The initiative is designed to offer students a safe and welcoming environment to discuss concerns related to their studies, personal challenges, or broader global issues that are worrying them.

This is a great opportunity for volunteers to apply their emotional support skills while making a meaningful difference in the student community.
